Overview
Dharamshala, the name is derived from the two Hindi words "Dharam" and "Shala", which means a spiritual dwelling. Originally, there was a pilgrim rest house in the town that provided shelter to the pilgrims, and from here, the city got its name. Dharamshala was always a popular hill station for the British.
